Abstract
This research is aimed at obtaining results from the objectives and explaining communication barriers during online learning during the covid-19 pandemic. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative method, and uses data analysis in the form of data condensation, data display, conclusion and verification, referring to the analysis objectives to be achieved. The Covid-19 pandemic presents a new learning atmosphere, making education experience changes in learning patterns. Online learning presents new obstacles during the communication process between students and lecturers. This research was carried out by conducting in-depth interviews with students regarding communication barriers experienced during online learning. Based on the research, it was found that there were obstacles found in the form of communicative learning situations, boredom, limited time for communication, lack of student initiative to find additional material, difficulties in providing facilities, study space and lack of financial economic income, lack of confidence and even increased stress levels.
