Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of overhead passing practice against the wall on overhead passing results in extracurricular volleyball at SMPN 2 Tanjung Lago. This research uses a quasi-experimental method with a "one group pretest and posttest design" design. The subjects in this research were 30 extracurricular volleyball participants at SMP Negeri 2 Tanjung Lago. The instrument in this study used the upper passing test from AAHPER. Data analysis used a t test with a significance level of 5%. The results of the research show that there is a significant effect of upper passing practice against the wall on the results of upper passing in extracurricular volleyball at SMPN 2 Tanjung Lago, with standard speculative testing admitting H1 if tcount > ttable (1-), and rejecting H0 if tcount <ttable ( 1-), because tcount (20,468> ttable (1.70) if the significance value of the paired T-test is smaller than 0.05 then there is an influence and conversely if the significance value is greater then there is no influence. As a recommendation that this research in the future can continues to be carried out to support progress and ease in carrying out passing tests on volleyball.
