Abstract

Sujiwo Tejo di dalam karya-karyanya identik dengan potret-potret realita dan situasi sosial yang ia alami. Sebagai salah satu contoh, cerpen bertajuk “pasar” yang ia buat menceritakan tentang situasi sosial yang dimetaforakan dalam wujud pasar dengan nada humor. Di dalam cerpen pasar itu, author berupaya menggelitik para pembaca melalui kritikan-kritikan halus, sejalan dengan pemahaman peneliti tentang libido ekonomi sebagai salah satu fenomena yang muncul dalam pandangan postmodernisme dari Lyotard bahwa segala bentuk kegiatan ekonomi dilandasi oleh hasrat seksual. Mencoba menguak maksud sesungguhnya dalam keutuhan teks cerpen bertajuk pasar itu, peneliti kemudian dibantu dengan batasan-batasan dari hermeneutika Derrida sebagai cara untuk mendekonstruksi teks cerpen pasar. Sehingga, setelah melalui serangkaian proses analisa dan penelitian, peneliti mendapati kesimpulan bahwa dalam permainan kata-kata yang diutarakan author di dalam karyanya itu, adanya kesengajaan yang dilakukan oleh Sujiwo Tejo dalam mensubjektifikasi kata-kata yang bersifat sensual dan kekerasan guna menarik perhatian pembaca yang digunakan author sebagai keuntungan bernilai ekonomi dan kepopuleran semata.
