Abstract

The State oflndonesia which is one ofthe largest of the archipclago, particularly in southeast asia, which is knovvn by the tribe, the diverse language and culture, which were scattered and dimasing each region that are in Indonesia. Culture diversity culture in Indonesia, which is certainly very diverse. Make the province of west sumatra as a benchmark or a major booster of the national cultural rools. Buts along with the progress of the times and the increasingly sophisticated technology and the more new globalisation make the arls and culture that exisled up to now begin to marginalized and gradually began to disappear. Its beginning to Iook of the very lack of and lack of community interest againt the minangkabau culture itself. Therefore then needed a culture center which provides full facilities, as well as visual building that can visualising the form of arhitecture, culture, and modern. Hybrid architecture approach is felt quite righl In this regard designed a culture center. On the hybrid architecture there are 4 point, eclectic or qoutation, manipulation, and modification, diclokasi and merge (or combination of unification), so by this point, the point of the policy of culture centcrs are exipccted to provide visualization good buildings, provide comfort in the spacc, ablepond to the environment and does nol give a negative impact on the environmet.
