Abstract

Readiness for change is an essential aspect that students must possess to prepare themselves for change. This study aims to describe the readiness for change among students in universities that implement the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program. The study utilized a readiness for change scale developed by the researcher based on the theories of Ferrin, Seletos, and Regan (2015), comprising 15 items with a Cronbach's alpha coefficient of 0.898. The method of analysis used was descriptive statistics. The study involved 300 students, including those who have not participated, are currently participating, and have previously participated in the MBKM program. The results show that students who are currently or have previously participated in MBKM predominantly fall into the high category of readiness for change, whereas those who have not participated in MBKM are mostly in the low category of readiness for change. The highest mean value of readiness for change was found among students currently participating in MBKM.
