Abstract

Telah dilakukan pengukuran nilai suseptibilitas magnetik dan komposisi mineral magnetik pada tanah di perkebunan karet di Desa Taja Raya II Kabupaten Banyuasin. Sampel tanah diambil pada dua lokasi yaitu Perkebunan karet dengan rata-rata usia 1 tahun (lokasi I) dan Perkebunan karet dengan rata-rata berusia 10 tahun (lokasi II). Pada Lokasi I , sampel diambil sebanyak 12 titik dan pada lokasi II sampel tanah diambil sebanyak 5 titik, fasa setiap sampel menggunakan variasi kedalaman 10- 50 cm sehingga diperoleh 85 sampel. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui nilai suseptibilitas magnetik dan komposisi mineral magnetik yang terkandung pada daerah penelitian. Pengukuran suseptibilitas magnetik menggunakan alat Bartington Suceptybility Meter sedangkan untuk mengkaratkerisasi mineral menggunakan metode X-Ray Diffaraction (XRD). Pada lokasi I, nilai χLF rata-rata yang diperoleh yaitu 6,87×10-8 m3/kg, sedangkan nilai χHF rata-rata yaitu 6,99 ×10-8 m3 /kg. Pada lokasi II, nilai χLF rata-rata yang diperoleh yaitu11,49×10-8 m 3/kg, sedangkan nilai χHF rata-rata yaitu 1,20 ×10-8 m 3/kg. Berdasarkan nilai suseptibilitas magnetik, mineral pengontrol yaitu magnetit (Fe3O4). Lokasi II memiliki nilai suseptibilitas lebih tinggi daripada lokasi I. Salah satu penyebabnya adalah usia lahan perkebunan pada lokasi I lebih muda dibandingkan lokasi II. Kata kunci: perkebunan karet, suseptibilitas magnetik, X-Ray Diffaraction (XRD) Measurements have been made of magnetic susceptibility value and magnetic mineral composition in soil in rubber plantations in Taja Raya II Village, Banyuasin Regency. Soil samples were taken at two locations, namely rubber plantations with an average age of 1 year (location I) and rubber plantations with an average age of 10 years (location II). At Location I, samples were taken as many as 12 points and at location II soil samples were taken as many as 5 points, each sample used a depth variation of 10-50 cm so that 85 samples were obtained. This study aims to determine the value of magnetic susceptibility and magnetic mineral composition contained in the study. Magnetic susceptibility measurement uses Bartington Suceptybility Meter tool while to minerals using X-Ray Diffaraction (XRD) method. On location I, the average χLF value obtained is 6,87×10-8 m3 / kg, while the average χHF value is 6.99 ×10-8 m3 / kg. At location II, the average χLF value obtained was 11,49 ×10-8 m 3/kg, while the average χHF value was 1,4 ×10-8 m 3/kg. Based on the magnetic susceptibility value, the controlling mineral is Magnetit (Fe3O4). Location II has a higher susceptibility value than location I.
