Abstract

The purposes of this research are (1) to analyze of farming income and income distribution of sweetcom to total income of farmer’s (2) to analyze marketing chains of sweetcom trading in Tanjung Seteko village (3) to count marketing efficiency level from marketing cost, marketing profit from each marketing institution also farmer’s share and trader’s share. The research was held in Tanjung Seteko village district Indralaya Induk Ogan Ilir regency with in May 2009. The method that used was survey method by directly come and interview farmer’s and marketing institutions. The income level farmer’s of enterprise sweetcom was 2,81 percent with production cost was Rp3.765.069,38/lg divided into fixed cost Rp79.552,71/lg and variable cost Rp3.685.516,67/lg. There were two marketing chain of sweetcom in Tanjung Seteko village where the first way, it was from farmer’s and then direct to retailer in Indralaya and then to consumen’s. While the second way, it was from farmer’s to collected to retailer in Jakabaring and then to consumen’s. Marketing cost in the first way of marketing channel was Rp64.625,00 per While the week. second way marketing channel in collected trader was Rpl91.500,00 per week and in retailer was Rp55.875,00 per week. Farmer’s share was 60,97 in he first way of marketing channel and 57,47 in sccond way, trader share for collecting trader in Tanjung Seteko village was 73,56 percent. Sweetcom marketing efficiency in Indralaya retailer was 15,63 percent. While the second way for collecting trader was 4,50 percent and 12,32 percent for retailer.
