Abstract
Lightweight concrete is a type of concrete that has a lower density than conventional concrete. LWC has density between 1140 kg/m3 to 1840 kg/m3, which is much lower than the density of conventional concrete. The manufacture of LWC can be done by adding fo am agent that will produce air bubbles or known as foamed concrete method. Cement if used in large quantities in concrete mixtures can increase weight. Therefore, this research adds Glass Powder to the concrete mixture because Glass Powder has been identified as a substitute for cement and also glass waste is now an issue today because it is not biodegradable. In this study the amount of glass powder used as a substitute for cement is 20% and 30% of the weight of cement, with a Cement Water Factor of 0.4 and a foam and slurry ratio of 0.35 and 0.65. The results of the compressive strength test on concrete with 20% and 30% gp variations are 4.37 MPa and 5.47 MPa respectively, density 1565.3 kg/cm3 and 1518.3 kg/cm3, and modulus of elasticity 9245.125723 Mpa a nd 12694.25485 MPa. The concrete mixture that has the optimal value is a concrete mixture with 30% gp variation with a density of 1518.3 kg/cm3, compressive strength of 5.47 MPa and elastic modulus of 12694.25485 MPa.
