Abstract

Early phenomenon of the elderly life has become a problematica of region even country. Elderly is the phase decrease of physical and logical ability, which start from the changes in life. Some of elderly live with their big family, bui who deserve attention are those who live alone at home. The proportion of elderly that become bigger needs special attention and treatment in the implementation of development. In 60th above is the last stage of aging process which has impact to three aspects, they are biologic, economic, and social. On biologic; elderly will go through aging process continuously that marks by degradation of body endurance and resistance of illness. On economic, in general the elderly are looked as resource burden. On social, elderly life often has negative perception, or not give much advantages for family and other people. In short, this country must give a cure and the empowerment for elderly so that its existence is not a burden of development, but could participate actively and positively: The way is accommodate the elder by build a building has designed special for elderly such as Nursing house (Werdha House). The building could cope the elderly for productive and Creative activity, socialization, and get some health facility. By providing facilities for supporting activity of elderly group of course will give friendly atmosphere in building. Such as aerobic, yoga, jogging, riding, and Creative activity such farming, crafting, until make some elderly communities with musical and dancing. AU activities should be supported by healthcare, to prevent and cure elder’s physic or non-physic which will through the degradation along the time. In short, by build a Vila Lansia will become new solution for Palembang City. Besides changing the name of Panti to be Vila could decrease people negative perceptions, such a Werdha House which be development planning of DKI Province in Banten2, the building that will be designed with Vila atmosphere could increase elderly life span especially in physicology. So that, developing PantiWerdha become a Vila Lansia is one of shade form for elderly group to live within or without enforcement, just for visiting or getting together and socialization, also do activity as theirs altemative for refreshing.
