Abstract
The purposes of this research are : (1) to identify the process of inovation factors influencing the members of Anggrek Bulan farmer group at conscious stage, enthusiasm stage, and trial stage of saputra nutrient fertilizer for Douglas orchid plant; (2) to estimate the time needed by the member of Anggrek Bulan farmer group in making the decision to try using saputra nutrient fertilizer. This research held at the subdistrict Sukamaju district of Sako Kenten Palembang in January - March 2007. This research use a case of study on 8 members of Anggrek Bulan farmers group through census. The data collected consist of primary and secondary data. Primary data have been obtained by using interview with members farmer group, and secondary data have been obtained from the govemment institutions. The data are presented in tables. Research results indicate that the process of inovation factors influencing the group members of Anggerk Bulan farmer group at the conscious stage are : (1) stimuli of sense (seeing and listening), (2) enthusiasm stage through direct and indirect media, (3) assessing stage consist of relative advantage, compatibility, complexity, triability, observability they reach on desition to try using Saputra nutrient fertilizer for Douglas orchid. The time needed by the group member of Anggrek Bulan farmer group from conscious stage to trial stage is 5 minutes. From enthusiasm stage to assessing stage needs 25 minutes and from assessing stage to trial stage is 8 weeks. From assessing stage to try stage has longer time lap than the previous stages, because of the group members of Anggrek Bulan farmer group have to wait for fertilizer subsidy from argriculture Service agents.
