Abstract

Education is the most important indicator for improving the quality of human resources. Education is a long-term savings asset to obtain more decent jobs with wages that can improve living standards. The problem of school dropout in Indonesia is a very complex issue today. This long-standing phenomenon is difficult to minimize or eliminate. This research was conducted in the transmgiran area in hamlet 6 Burai Village, Ogan Iliri Regency. This research uses a qualitative approach, with a qualitative description method that examines a phenomenon in depth. The results showed that there are dominant factors that make children in transmigrant areas drop out of school such as economic conditions, geographical location, social environment, and lack of parental attention. As well as other supporting factors such as health and nutrition factors, and cultural factors. Keywords: Dropout, Education, Factors
