Abstract
The objective of this research was to investigate potention Xenorhabdus spp. bacteria to suppressed nematode parasite population Radophulus similis crop oil palm. The research was conducted in Nematology laboratory and Greenhouse, Departement of Plant Pest and Disease, Facutly of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University Inderalaya, fforn June to September 2009. The research was arranged in a completely randomized designe with 5 treatment and 5 replications. The treatment were A (control), B (nematicida), C (103cfu isolated chilli Xenorhabdus spp.), D (isolated 002) and E (isolated 017). The result showed that mortality higest is treatment E and lower treatment B. The present Xenorhabdus spp. bacteria to influence behaviour R. similis is movement be late and die. Intensity damage root higest is treatment B and lower is treatment C. The research showed that the Xenorhabdus spp. bacteria, significantly reduced population R. similis crop oil palm.
