Abstract

SALSABELA WINDA ASTUTI Utilization Of Oil Palm Mill Effluent To Improve Several Soil Chemical Properties And Production Of Oil Palm Plants In Ogan Komering Ilir Distric (Supervised by SATRIA JAYA PRIATNA and BAKRI) This study aims to determine the benefits of palm oil mill waste to the availability of nutrients (N, P, K, Ca, Mg, C-organic) and palm oil crops at PT. Waimusi Agroindah. This research was conducted in palm oil plantation area of PT. Waimusi Agroindah, Ogan Komering Ilir District, South Sumatera.. This research was conducted in December 2017 until January 2018.Analysis of soil chemical properties was conducted at Binasawit Makmur Laboratory (Sampoerna Agro) Palembang, South Sumatra. Soil sampling is taken on land applied land application with land application area 18.54 ha . Beginning with the making of profiles conducted at three locations that is near the irrigation ditch, between the ditch with plants, and on the control field. Sampling takes place at 6 depths (0-20 cm, 20-40 cm, 40-60 cm, 60-80 cm, 80-100 cm, 100-120 cm). Soil sampling is done composite representing depth of 6 layer. From the results of this study showed that the average production of oil palm crops treated by Palm Oil Mill is higher that is 1,386.65 ton ha-1 when compared with the control land that is 1,066.949 ton ha-1. Giving Palm Oil Mill to soil chemical properties showed increased content especially on nutrient content of N and however P, soil pH, K, and Ca levels do not make any difference when compared to control profiles
