Abstract
The research about the population and attack of planthopper and bug, and also the abundance of spider in the fresh swamp and the tidal land of South Sumatera has not been do. The purpose of these research was to determined the population and attack of planthopper and bug and also the abundance of spider in the fresh swamp and the tidal land ecosystem of South Sumatera. The research used survey method, the survey was conducted to observe the population and attack of planthopper, paddy bug, black bug and other bug and also the abundance of spider. The field that was observed for each village was 3 ha. The results showed that the phase plant growth could effect the abundance of pest. The population of pest in the ffesh swamp ecosystem showed that, the highest population of brown planthoppers were 35 tail per 30 clump, the highest population of green planthoppers were 32 tail per 30 clump, the highest population of zigzag hoppers were 19 tail per 30 clump, the highest population of the other planthoppers were 95 tail per 30 clump, the highest population of paddy bugs were 95 tail per 30 clump, the highest population of black bugs were 9 tail per 30 clump. The populations of pest in the tidal land ecosystem showed that, the highest population of brown planthoppers were 254 tail per 30 clump, the highest population of green planthoppers were 81 tail per 30 clump, the highest population of zigzag hoppers 67 tail per 30 clump, the were highest population of the other planthoppers were 547 tail per 30 clump, the highest population of paddy bugs were 133 tail per 30 clump, the highest population of black bugs were 160 tail per 30 clump. Rod or grain that infested by pests in the fresh swamp ecosystem showed that, the highest infestation of planthoppers in vegetative phase were 4.81%, the highest infestation of paddy bugs in generative phase were 8.75%, the highest infestation of the other bugs in generative phase were 0.34 %. Rod or grain that infested by pests in the tidal land ecosystem showed that, the highest infestation of planthoppers in vegetative phase were 39.04%, the highest infestation of paddy bugs in generative phase were 19.9%, the highest infestation of black bugs in vegetative phase were 3. 66%. The highest abundance of spiders in the ffesh swamp ecosystem were found in Gandus at vegetatif phase with collection method by using insect net were 143 tail per 30 clump. While the highest abundance of spiders in the tidal land ecosystem were found in Telang Karya’s Village at vegetative phase with using collection method by using insect net were 197 tail per 30 clump. The family of spiders were found like family Lycosidae, Araneidae, Tetragnathidae, Linyphiidae, Oxyopidae, Thomisidae, Theridiidae and Salticidae. The most dominant of spiders that were found on canopy was family Tetragnathidae, and the most dominant of spiders that were found on the ground was Lycosidae.
