Abstract

The research was conducted at Entomological Laboratory and the Greenhouse, Plant Pest and Diseases Department, Faculty of Agriculture Sriwijaya University ffom February to Agustus 2012. The study aimed at examiningthe effect of storage duration limit of mikoinsecticide of B. bassiana and M. anisopliae againts larvae of S. incertulas. B. bassiana and M. anisopliae was augmented on Glucose Yeast Broth (GYB) medium. This research used Randomized Group Design (RGD). Carriers used to formulate the liquid mikoinsecticide were sterilized EKKU and nonsterilized EKKU. Controls used that were steril water (control 1) and isolate of B. bassiana and M anisopliae (control 2). Carriers used to formulate the solid mikoinsecticide were dried compost, compost, paddy bran, woody powder, paddy bran mixed with woody powder, compost enriched with Trichoderma virens. Controls used that were steril water. The results showed that storage time affects mortality larvae of S. incertulas. Mortality of larvae S. incertulas was applied by the liquid mikoinsecticide age 1 month deposits reached until 93.13% and 4 months old deposits reached 86.25% was found on the mikoinsecticide B. bassiana with carrier for steriiized EKKU. Mortality larvae of S. incertulas was applied solid mikoinsecticide age 1 month deposits reached 88.75% was found on the mikoinsecticide B. bassiana with carrier of bran mixed with sawdust and solid mikoinsecticide age 4 month deposits reached 80.63% was found on the mikoinsecticide B. bassiana with carrier of compost enriched with T. virens. The highest spore density (68.49 x 106conidia mL1) and the highest conidial viability (47.67%) was found in liquid mikoinsecticide B. bassiana with carrier steriiized EKKU. The highest spore density (12.73 x 5 x 10 conidia mL ’ ) and the highest conidial viability (30.33%) was found in solid mikoinsecticide B. bassiana with carrier bran mixed with sawdust. The highest conidial density packaging test (49.17 x 5 x 108 conidia mL_1) and the highest conidial viability (34.67%) of solid mikoinsecticide was found in plastic. Shelf life 1 and 4 months of liquid and solid mikoinsecticide B. bassiana and M. anisopliae showed significant effect in controlling the larvae of S. incertulas. Mikoinsecticide of B. bassiana and M. anisopliae shelf 1 and 4 months remain effective control larvae of S. incertulas. Plastic is best for mikoinsecticide dense packing.
