Abstract

Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK). Perlakuan terdiri dari 39 genotipe padi yang terdiri dari 8 genotipe Indonesia dan 31 genotipe introduksi Jepang yang diacak dalam kelompok dengan 3 kali ulangan. Pengamatan dilakukan terhadap (1) Karakter vegetatif; tinggi tanaman, jumlah anakan maksimum, jumlah anakan produktif. (2) Karakter generatif dan komponen hasil : umur panen, jumlah gabah per malai, jumlah gabah isi per malai, persentase gabah isi, berat gabah per rumpun sampel, berat seribu butir, berat gabah per g/m , dan berat kering tanaman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa padi asal jepang dapat beradaptasi dan menghasilkan perlakuan yang berbeda nyata, dimana genotipe asal jepang mampu menunjukkan karakter agronomi yang baik dalam setiap peubah. Hal ini mencermin kan genotipe asal jepang dapat menjadi sumber plasma nutfah baru dalam program pemuliaan tanaman padi guna mendapatkan jenis padi baru yang sesuai dengan kondisi daerah rawa pasang surut.
