Abstract

The purpose of research was to investigate : 1) to measure the social status of society in Biaro Lama Village, Karang Dapo Regency, Musi Rawas District, 2) to the farmer’s response to the inti plasma program in Biaro Lama Village, Karang Dapo Regency, Musi Rawas District, 3) to analayze the relationship of social status with society’s response to wards the program of palm oil inti plasma PT. Buana Sriwijaya Sejahtera in Biaro Lama Village, Karang Dapo Regency, Musi Rawas District. The research had been conducted in Biaro Lama Village, Karang Dapo Regency, Musi Rawas District, from Nopember 2008 until Januari 2009. The method which was used at this research is sample random sampling method, and all society in Biaro Lama Village Karang Dapo District Musi Rawas Regency has the same opportunity to be selected and checked by taking farmer sample counted 10% out of 300 members following program inti-plasma that is 30 farmer. measure The result of the study shows the average of the social status of sample farmers is 24,34 which is incluided in medium category. Mean while, the average of sample farmers rate response is 28,83 which is ancluided in high category. So it shows rs computation < rs table. It means there is no correlation between the social status with society response to ward the program of palm oil inti plasma in Biaro Lama Village, Karang Dapo Regency, Musi Rawas District.
