Abstract
The research was conducted in Biological Control Laboratory, Research and Development Unit, PT. Nusantara Plantation VII Cintamanis, ffom March 2011 until September 2011. The study aims were to determine the effect host stage and population of C. auricilius larvae towards parasitation level of D. striatalis parasitoid in laboratory. The research was designed by Factorial Design Group Random, with 6 treatments and 4 replications. The result showed parasitation of D. striatalis was increasing in higher population of C. auricilius. D. striatalis did not parasitize all larvae given. Larval stadia of C. auricilius affected growth and population of D. striatalis. The average ability of D. striatalis in parasitation of C. auricilius larvae was the highest on treatment of 56 individues given, i.e. 36.25 individues. Parasitoid did not consume all host given because it need to continue their generation. Population of D. striatalis and their weight of pupae were affected by larval stage given. It mean that the bigger larval stadia given, the heavier pupal stadia. The possibility of male and female emerged was affected by population and instar larvae. Twenty individues of C. auricilius third-instar larvae will emerged female parasitoid.
