Abstract

This research was conducted at the Laboratory Nematology, Fitopatology and glass house, Department of Plant pest and disease Agriculture Faculty, University of Sriwijaya, Indralaya ffom May to November 2012. The Objectives of the research were to evaluate the effect of Arthrobotrys sp. Formulating in culture maize to supress Meloidogyne sp. on tomato and their effect on the plant growth. This research used Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with four treatments including Controls and five replications, each replications consist of 1 plant. The treatment included of control (untreatments), Furadan 2 g per polybag, fungi Arthrobotrys sp. in maize culture storaged in 21 days and fungi Maize culture storaged in 40 days. The results showed that of Arthrobotrys sp. in maize culture storaged in 21 days can suppressed root damage of laying up to 66% with a mean 16% and can suppressed root-knot to 75% with mean 23,4 knot and suppressed egg masses to 83% with a mean 15 grain a root caused to Meloidogyne sp. The use effect of Arthrobotrys sp. is similar to the nematicide furadan in suppressing root knot nematode.
