Abstract
Aphis gossypii is the most important pest on vegetables in the lowlands and the most important pest on chili. The loss due to an attack of A. gossypii as a pest can reach 6-25% and can reach up to 90% if A. gossypii as a virus vector. The aim of this research was to find out the effect of mycoinsecticide with active ingredient conidia from B. bassiana and M. anisopliae with life time for 1 and 6 months against mortality and LT50 of A. gossypii. The research was conducted at the Laboratory of Entomology Department of Pests and Plant Diseases Agriculture Faculty, Sriwijaya University, Inderalaya from February 2012 to August 2012. This research used Split Plot design with one and six months life time as the main plot and mycoinsecticide formulation as the sub plot with 5 replicates. The treatments were tested are: The treatments were tested are : B. bassiana (GYB) + dry compost, B. bassiana (GYB) + compost, B. bassiana (GYB) + bran, B. bassiana (GYB) + bran + sawdust, B. bassiana (GYB) + Trichoderma compost, M. anisopliae (GYB) + dry compost, M. anisopliae (GYB) + compost, M anisopliae (GYB) + bran, M anisopliae (GYB) + bran + sawdust, M. anisopliae (GYB) + Trichoderma compost, sterile EKKU + B. bassiana, sterile EKKU + M. anisopliae, non sterile EKKU + B. bassiana, non sterile EKKU + M. anisopliae, sterile EKKU + 5. bassiana centrifuged, sterile EKKU + M. anisopliae centrifuged, isolates 5. bassiana + sterile water (control 1), isolates of M anisopliae + sterile water (control 2), and sterile water (control 3). Each formulation that has been created will be stored for 1 and 6 months. The results showed that the formulations mycoinsecticide with active ingredient conidia of B. bassiana and M. anisopliae with life time effect on mortality and LT50 nymph of A. gossypii. The the formulation of mycoinsecticide with life time one month more effective to kill A. gossypii. The formulation of mycoinsecticide Ma + Trichoderma compost could kill nymph A. gossypii up to 74.2%. The formulation of mycoinsecticide Bb + bran with life time one month can kill A. gossypii up to 94,4% and the formulation of mycoinsecticide Ma + compost trichoderma still could kill A. gossypii up to 58,0% for life time six months. The formulation of mycoinsecticide Bb + bran with life time for one month was the most effective formulation to kill A. gossypii reaching 94.4% all of life time. The fastest values of LT50 was in the life time for one month that is the formulation of mycoinsecticide Bb+ bran (2.13 days) and fastest LT50 values in the life time for six months is at formulation of mycoinsecticide Ma + trichoderma compost (4.5 days). The higest viability of B. bassiana and M. anisopliae was on formulation Bb 4- compost trichoderma (36,86%) and the lowest was on formulation Ma + bran + sawdust (20,19%).
