Abstract

Anthracnose disease is a of chili which rnks second and third among the 10 pests and diseases main of chili plants in the period 2001-2006. Anthracnose disease in Indonesia has several types of causes, namely Collectotrichum acutatum, C. gloeosporioides and C. capsicii among those species which are dominant in the Indonesian region are C. acutatum. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of harvest time and layout direction of mound against the progression of antrachnos disease in the Village of Simpang Pelabuhan Dalam Pemulutan Ogan Ilir District. This research was carried out in the chili planting area in the village Simpang pelabuhan Dalam Pemulutan Ogan Ilir District and Fitopatology Laboratory, Department of Pests and Plant Diseases, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. The time for conducting this research began in July 2018 until completion. This study uses the case method with random sampling techniques. Determination ofthe location used as the location of the research is find the location of the land of farmers who grow chili plants. Mound of chili plants pointing North- South (P-I) and West-East (P-II) each field has 20 shipyard every shipyards each containing 90 chili plants (1800 plants). The results of the study show that the lowest percentage of chili infected at harvesting age 108 is 37.5% in West-East (BT) and in North-South 108 (U-S) age is 3.97%. The severity of the infected chilli is lowest at the sixth harvest at 108 days (HKp6 B-T) which is 7.26% in the mound which leads West-East and at the sixth harvest at 108 North-South (HKp6 U-S) That is 2.25%. Harvesting time and layout of the direction of the mound can suppress the progression of the anthracnose disease. With the direction of the B-T mound and the direction of the U-S mound which shows a graph decreasing every time in harvesting, the shape of the direction of the mound greatly influences the progression of anthracnosis besides that the dry season can also suppress growth of anthracnose disease. By way of cultivation of chilli plants done by farmers from the layout and direction of the mound can suppress the progression of anthracnose disease to below 10%.
