Abstract

Metode penelitian yang digunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari tujuh perlakuan yang diulang sebanyak lima kali dengan masing-masing unit terdiri dari empat tanaman sehinggajumlah keseluruhannya adalah 140 tanaman. Adapun perlakuan tersebut adalah pupuk kotoran ayam 25 ton ha"1 setara dengan 125 g polibag _1 (A), pupuk kotoran sapi 15 ton ha'1 setara dengan 75 g polibag _1 (B), pupuk kotoran sapi 20 ton ha"1 setara dengan 100 g polibag_1 (C), pupuk kotoran sapi 25 ton ha'1 setara dengan 125 g polibag A (D), pupuk kompos tandan kosong kelapa sawit 15 ton ha"1 setara dengan 75 g polibag "1 (E), pupuk kompos tandan kosong kelapa sawit 20 ton ha'1 setara dengan 100 g polibag '* (F), dan pupuk kompos tandan kosong kelapa sawit 25 ton ha'1 setara dengan 125 g polibag 'l (G). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pemberian pupuk kotoran ayam dengan takaran 25 ton ha 1 yang setara dengan 125 g polibag "' memberikan pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman jahe merah panen muda dengan tinggi tanaman 83,40 cm, jumlah anakan 8 batang rumpun'1, berat segar tanaman 371,25 g rumpun"1, berat segar bagian atas 182,50 g rumpun'!’ berat segar rimpang 75,50 g rimpang"1, dan berat segar akar 100,75 g akar"1 yang tertinggi dibandingkan dengan kompos TKKS dan pupuk kotoran sapi. Hasil terendah dicapai pada pemberian pupuk kotoran sapi dengan takaran 15 ton ha"1 yang setara dengan 75 g polibag"1. Kata kunci : jahe merah, panen muda, pupuk organik, kotoran sapi
