Abstract

This research was aimed to describe the adoption process, to know the economic aspect that motivated the farmers to cultivated Jasmine sambac, and also to know the type of innovative decisions utilized by the farmers. This research was implemented in Sako village Sako district in June 2006. This research used the case study method at Melati Indah farmer group. The sampling method in this research was census on 10 farmers from the Jasmine sambac group in Sako village Sako district Palembang. The collected data were primary and secondary data. The primary data were obtained by indepth-interview to respondents, and the secondary data were obtained from the govemment institutions. The data were prepared descriptively in the form of exposition. The process from this research start from awareness level, intresting, evaluation, trial, and adoption. The economic aspect that motivate the farmers price, producent, consument, and advantage by the farmers. The type of innovatife decision utilized by the farmers at Melati Indah farmers group is collectife decisions
