Abstract

The objectives of this research are to count the amount of revenue and profit from gambir farming in 2004 years and to analyse the financial eligibility from gambir sap processing in Toman village Musi Banyuasin. This research was done in September 2004. The method that was used in this research was case study, by taking the sample from gambir farmer population and by using questionnaire as main data collecting instrument and doing interview with the farmer in Toman village. Data was collected by taking two kinds of data, consist of primary data which was obtained from direct interview with farmer and secondary data which was obtained from sources which were connected with the research. Than data which was obtained would be proceeded based on revenue, income and eligibility criterion. The result of data processing would be explained descriptively. The conclusion which was obtained was the mount of gambir farmer revenue and income in Toman village Babat Toman regency in 2004 increased according to the scales. For 1 hectare enterprises scale the amount of farmer Rp8.680.560, 00 per enterprises scale per years and the amount of farmer income was Rp5.215.260, 00 per enterprises scale per years. For 2 hectares enterprises scale the amount of farmer revenue was Rpl2.330.000,00 per enterprises scale per years and the amount of farmer income was Rp8.093.050,00 per enterprises scale per revenue was years. Meanwhile 3 hectares enterprises scale the amount of farmer revenue was Rpl9.057.560,00 per enterprises scale per years and the amount of farmer income was Rp 12.764.060,00 per enterprises scale per years and based on the result of gambir farming eligibility analysis at each enterprises that was 1 ha, 2 ha and 3 ha. Gambir farming was eligible in developing thought is not yet been conducted intensively. It was shown with each NPV was equal to Rp. 10.294.786,53; Rpl6.060.639,67; and Rp26.609.206,69; each Net B/C was 2,178; 2,246; and 2,350; each Gross B/C was 2,484; 1,558; dan 1,623; each ERR was 42,481%; 43,557%; and 45,961%, based on 10 years gambir economical ages. Than it could be seen that gambir farming in 3 hectares enterprises scale more eligible to be conducted than 1 hectare and 2 hectares enterprises scale.
