Abstract
The research was aimed to improve the chemistry learning output of XI IPA 1 students in SMA Negeri 3 Tanjung Raja through Guided Inquiry Learning Model. This was a class treatment research which done in three cycles, each cycle consisted of two meetings. Collecting data was done by using multiple choice test in the end of cycle and observation of students' activation during learning process. The results showed the students' learning output completeness before treatment (To) which was 25,00% with the class average score of 62,14. After given the treatment through Guided Inquiry Learning Model oncycle I (T1), the students’ learning output completeness improved becoming 44,44% with the class average scoreof 71,62 and the average of students’ learning activation was 43,89%. Besides, on cycle II (T2) the learning output completeness improved to 75,00% with the class average score of 84,27 and the average of students’ learning activation was 51,61%. Wheares on cycle III (T3), improvement happened to be 83,33% with the class average score of 88,44 and the average of students’ learning activation was 66,76%. The results showed that the implementation of Guided Inquiry learning could improve the students’ chemistry learning output, where T3>T2>T1>To.
