Abstract

PT. Bukit Asam (Persero), Tbk is located in Lawang Kidul, Muara Enim. Mining is operated with open pit mining using backhoe and trucks. Stripping Interburden stripping is use two units of Komatsu backhoe PC2000-8 and hauled using eight units of dump truck HD785-7 towards disposal. Transport distance from loading point to disposal is 1.25 km in fleet 1 and 2. Working fleet backhoe and dump truck used for the removal of interburden material from loading point to disposal with production target of 550,000 BCM for the fourth quarter (October, November and December). Based on the actual production report report, the result of mechanical tools combination in October and November was 455,797.94 456,853.16 BCM and BCM. To achieve production target, an analyze of time distribution of mechanical devices, improvements effective working time that would support the productivity of the mechanical device are.needed. The problem focus are how much actual productivity of the mechanical tools, what factors are causes of the failure in its production targets interburden stripping, and how to reach the desired production targets at TAL Timur. The purpose of this study was to determine the actual productivity of the backhoe and dump truck to the stripping of interburden mining sites TAL Timur, analyzing the factors that lead to failure in the production target in stripping interburden Timur TAL location and determine how to get production targets desired on location TAL Timur. Efforts are being made to achieve the production target is to increase the effective working time and increase the frequency of charging conveyance. After repairs to increase the effective working time gained productivity of 496.40 BCM /H on fleet 1 and 458.44 BCM /H on fleet 2. Improvements to the fleet 2 is then performed with the addition of the charging frequency to seven times in order to get the productivity of 620,42 BCM /H
