Abstract

Each company has its own way of optimizing the production of oil and gas wells. As well as PT. Pertamina EP Lemons Field Asset 2 which seeks to increase the yield of oil and gas production in order to always be able to achieve the production target. However, efforts made in producing oil and gas from the formation onto the surface is not easy, a lot of the problems found in the field so as to make the rate of oil production continues to decline and even can not produce at all. One of the problems that occur in the field is the problem of formation damage. It also occurs in well L5A-F which decreased production of highly significant and indicated formation damage has occurred. Formation damage can occur due to drilling mud invasion into the formation of productive and also because of the migration of the particles of clay formation that can clog the pores of the rock around the wellbore. To overcome the well formation damage L5A-F, the matrix acidizing stimulation efforts in the hope of optimal well production can be retumed. However, to determine whether the matrix acidizing stimulation jobs on wells L5A-F has been successful or not, it is necessary to evaluate the work that has been done. Matrix acidizing is a process of acid fluid reinjection into the rock matrix with pressure injection under pressure rekahnya to prevent fractures in the formation. Fluid acid will react with the formation of clay minerals that clay minerals will be dissolved along with the acid fluid. Success in pass matrix acidizing stimulation lies in the selection of the right candidate wells, fluid type and concentration of the acid corresponding to the type of damage and the amount of fluid used is enough to cover the entire radius of damage. Well production history analysis and analysis of pressure build-up testing can determine the condition of reservoir characteristics and can be used as the basis for selecting the right candidate to do well matrix acidizing stimulation. An increase in the current well production capability after stimulation is the main indicator of success in doing matrix acidizing stimulation. Based on the analysis of production histoiy, well L5A-F decreased production rate of 441 BFPD (barrels of fluid per day) with the acquisition of oil x Universitas Sriwijaya li XI by 437 BOPD (barrels of oil per day) to 138 BFPD with the acquisition of oil at 122 BOPD in the period 2 month. Then from the data analysis, the build up of pressure values obtained skin testing +10.04, 50.7 mD permeability, flow efficiency 0.42, and APskin amounted to 428 Psi. From these results, it is known that there has been damage to the well formation L5A-F is characterized by a signiflcant decline in production rates, the value of a positive skin, and flow efficiency <1 so that the selection of well L5A-F as a candidate to do matrix acidizing stimulation is very appropriate. The acid used are the type of mud acid at a concentration of 6% HCL: 1.5% HF, in accordance with the type of damage and its reservoir rocks are sandstones. Acid sludge has a good ability to dissolve all types of clay minerals that exist in formation sandstones. Acidic fluid reinjection barrels 31 and 59 barrrels the driving fluid also complies with the calculation of volume 2 7/8 inch tubing and casing 7 inch and also the calculation of volume estimates of the damage radius that is as far as 5 ft from the wellbore. Based on the current daily production data after the matrix acidizing stimulation increased the production rate of 138 BFPD to 372 BFPD. Then from the IPR curve analysis was also an increase in the maximum production capacity of 144 BFPD time before stimulation to be 467 BFPD time after stimulation. Thus the matrix acidizing stimulation work has been done can be said to succeed in optimizing production well L5A-F.
