Abstract

PT. Newmont Nusa Tenggara (NNT) as a copper mining company localed in District Sekongkang, West Sumbawa, West Nusa Tenggara Province. Mining operational activities carried out at Batu Hijau pit and mining companies plan to phase 7. Know design plan phase 7 for the south-east sector have areas outside the ultimate pit limit phase 7, it is going to meet the minimum level of employment (working bench) of 60 m, Large minimum working bench is about 60 m with consideration of excavator loading (electric power shovel P & H 1400) and conveyances 793C haul truck, with double side loading system. Thus stripping ratio design plan phase 7 has increased by 3.14. South-east sector has a stripping ratio of 4.785. If the design phase 7 does not conduct mining in the sector will reduce the acquisition of copper, gold and silver. So do economic considerations for the sector. South-east sector contains 37,874,199 tonnes of ore with an average of 0.495% copper, 0.416 g gold / tonne silver and 1.336 gr / ton. Assuming that the price applied to phase 7, then the value Payback Stripping ratio (BESR) of the sector amounted to 6.38 and the concentration limit values Payback (BECOG) amounted to 0.309% copper. The south-east sector of feasible mining. Based on the amount o f ore and average levels, south-east sector will result amounted to 349,555,270.81 lb for copper, gold and silver amounting to 404,807.92 oz oz amounted to 1,271,134.71. Metal price assumptions set by PT. NNT for phase 7 are copper $ 2 / lb, gold $ 1,300 / oz and silver $ 19 / oz will be obtained total revenue of $ 1,249,512,402.46. The costs of mining, process, royalties and SRF for the sector amounted to $ 1,094,689,464.23. So that the total value of the southeast sector of $ 154,822,938.23. So the design phase 7 to conduct mining in the south-east sector of design recommendations that will be used.
