Abstract

PT Bukit Asam is planning to re-open pit Mahayung. It has thick overburden bccausc this location was oncc a disposal area from Tambang Air Laya (TAL). Pit Mahayung uses two types of Excavator, 1 type of dumptruck and 1 type of bulldozer namelv komatsu PC800, PCI250, HD785 and D155A. Both types of excavators are not used together, but only on certain conditions. In May 2016, the production target of overburden is 157,000 BCM. However, the realization was only 126,160 BCM. Based on the calculation, production of overburden on May 2016 could have reached 262,204.48 BCM / month if only using PCI250 and HD785. Those difference is caused by correction factors such as mechanical availability. operator’s skill, and work efficiency often changes depending on the field condition, so it would be easier if the calculations are done using Software. Designed Software can use the data to plan the number of equipments needed to fulfill the target number in the pit Mahayung which are 157,000 BCM and the result shows by using l unit of PC800 and 3 units of HD785, with match factor 1.02 and production cost Rp5,581,368,098.74.
