Abstract

The purpose of this research was to valuate vegetables growth and yield in monoculture and multiple cropping with gambir plant (Uncaria gambirRoxb) and to valuate the gambir growth in monoculture and multiple cropping with vegetables. This research was held on March 2004 to July 2004 and cairied out the Research Garden of Agriculture Faculty University of Sriwijaya. Research was conducted using t-test for vegetables plant that applied as monoculture and multiple cropping. Gambir plant data derived from ANOVA analysis using completely randomized block design with four treatments and five replication, for gambir plant was taken fives samples per each squares. Research result showed that multiple cropping for vegetables growth and yield showed same result compared to monoculture plantation. Gambir plant that planted monoculture and multiple crop had the same result too.
