Abstract

Well test is a method to determine well actual condition and formation damage. The test held by analizing the form of pressure change due to the changing of production level. Afiter the drilling and completion of the well finished, company still cannot make further planning because of the lack of knowledge about what happen inside the well. Well testing data have to analized using well testing theory to obtain actual damage parameter. The analiysis purpose is to determine absolut openflow potential (AOF) and formation damage (skin factor). The analysis also can tell if there was an abnormaly treatment in well test procedure. PT Radian Bukit Barisan did the test to make a plan about the next simulation will be held and production capacity in the future. The analysis is using Homer Method with P2. Pressure build up analysis is using the MBH method, and the Modified Isochronal Test (MIT) using the deliverability and empiric method. The result is Well X has formation damage in level 37.75 (positive skin factor) that decreasing 1905 psi from the formation pressure. The damage caused formation permeability become 0.375 md. MIT test resulted the absolute openflow potential is 0.935 mmscfd.
