Abstract
The objective of this research was to evaluate the growth and yield of sweet by supplying complement fertilizer at various level of N, P, and K Fertilizer. The research was conducted at Sukamulia, Talang Betutu. Palembang, from April com to Juli 2007. The experimental design was Randomized Complete Block Design (RCB) with three replications that was consisted of six treatments, P1 (PRL = 100 kg ha -i Urea, 100 kg ha"1 SP-36, 300 kg ha'1 KC1), P2 (PRL + complement fertilizer), P3 (2/3 PRL + complement fertilizer), P4 (PRB = 350 kg ha"1 Urea, 200 kg ha SP-36, 200 kg ha'lKCl), P5 (PRB + complement fertilizer), and P6 (2/3 PRB + -i complement fertilizer).The complement fertilizer was sprayed to the leaves on 14, 28 days after planting (dap) (1 g/1, 200 1/ha) and 42, 60 dap (2,5 g/1, 400 1/ha) for treatment P2 dan P3 whereas for P5 dan P6 was applied on 42, 60 dap (2,5 g/1, 600 1/ha). The results showed that supplying the complement fertilizer for PRL (P2) tended to increase the growth (plant height, leaf area index) and the yield as much as 27,1 % from 5,9 (Pl) to 7,5 ton ha'1 (P2). Application of the same fertilizer for 2/3 PRL (P3) tended to give the relatively similar yield with Pl that was about 6 ton ha'1. The results indicated that supplying the complement fertilizer tended to increase the yield and/or to decrease the level of the main fertilizer used.
