Abstract

One of the health problems in female reproductionis leukorrhea. The purpose of this study was to analyse the relationship between knowledge, attitude and personal hygiene behaviour with the incidence of leukorrhea among female students of the Faculty of Public Health, Sriwijaya University in 2023. This study used a cross- sectional research design with104 respondents and the sampling technique was simple random sampling. Data analysis in this study used univariate analysis, bivariate analysis using the chi-square test, and multivariate analysis using predictive models with multiple logistic regression tests. The results obtained from bivariate analysisshows that there was no relationship between knowledge (p-value 0.098) attitude (p-value 0.211) with leukorrhea, and there was a relationshipbetween behavior (p-value 0.032) with the incidence of leukorrhea among female students of the Faculty of Public Health, Sriwijaya University in 2023. Multivariate analysis showed that the behavior variable (p-value 0.032) was the most dominant variable associated with the incidence of leukorrhea (PR= 2.412, 95% CI 1,036-5,619). This suggests that poor personal hygiene may increase the risk of leukorrhea in students. The researchers suggest that teenage girls can reduce the excessive use of pantyliners and feminine hygiene to avoid leukorrhea.
