Abstract

RINGKASAN NANDA OKTA RAHMAWATI. Kombinasi Suhu dan pH Air yang Berbeda untuk Pemeliharaan Benih Ikan Tambakan (Helostoma temminckii) (Dibimbing oleh MIRNA FITRANI dan YULISMAN). Ikan tambakan (Helostoma temminckii) merupakan salah satu jenis ikan air tawar yang berasal dari Asia, khususnya dari Indonesia. Dalam kegiatan budidaya ikan kualitas air merupakan faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap kelangsungan hidup ikan diantaranya salinitas, suhu, pH dan oksigen terlarut. Suhu tinggi yang masih dapat ditoleransi oleh ikan dapat menyebabkan gangguan kesehatan untuk jangka panjang misalnya tubuh menjadi lemah, kurus dan tingkah laku abnormal. Fluktuasi pH dapat dipengaruhi oleh suhu perairan. Suhu perairan yang tinggi maka nilai pH menjadi rendah terutama ketika kenaikan suhu perairan disebabkan oleh pencemaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kombinasi suhu dan pH yang terbaik untuk pemeliharaan ikan tambakan. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan yaitu rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) pola Faktorial dengan dua faktor. Faktor pertama yaitu suhu (A) terdiri atas dua taraf dan faktor kedua yaitu pH (B) terdiri atas tiga taraf. Masing-masing perlakuan terdapat tiga ulangan. Perlakuan A1B1 (suhu 28 ±0,5°C dengan pH 4±0,2), A1B2 (suhu 28±0,5°C dengan pH 6±0,2), A1B3 (suhu 28±0,5°C dengan pH 8±0,2), A2B1 (suhu 30±0,5°C dengan pH 4±0,2), A2B2 (suhu 30±0,5°C dengan pH 6±0,2), dan A2B3 (suhu 30±0,5°C dengan pH 8±0,2). Parameter penelitian diantaranya pertumbuhan mutlak (bobot dan panjang), efisiensi pakan dan kelangsungan hidup ikan dianalisis secara statistik menggunakan analisis ragam. Apabila berpengaruh nyata maka dilanjutkan uji Beda Nyata Terkecil (BNT) pada tingkat kepercayaan 95%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor suhu dan faktor pH masing-masing berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan mutlak (bobot dan panjang), efisiensi pakan dan kelangsungan hidup namun interaksi keduanya berpengaruh tidak nyata. Perlakuan terbaik pada suhu yaitu A1 (suhu 28±0,5°C) menghasilkan pertumbuhan bobot sebesar 0,47 g, pertumbuhan panjang mutlak sebesar 0,30 cm, efisiensi pakan sebesar 19,03% dan kelangsungan hidup sebesar 75,28% sedangkan pada faktor pH, perlakuan terbaik yaitu B2 (pH 6±0,2) menghasilkan pertumbuhan bobot sebesar 0,53 g, pertumbuhan panjang mutlak sebesar 0,32 cm, efisiensi pakan sebesar 22,52% dan kelangsungan hidup sebesar 84,54%. Combination of Different Water Temperature and pH for Rearing of Kissing Gourami (Helostoma temminckii) Fry (supervised by Mirna Fitrani and Yulisman). Kissing gourami (Helostoma temminckii) is a type of freshwater fish originating from Asia, especially from Indonesia. In fish farming activities water quality is a factor that affects fish survival and fish growth including salinity, temperature, pH and dissolved oxygen. High temperatures that fish can still tolerate can cause long-term health problems for example the body becomes weak, emaciated and behaves abnormally. pH fluctuations can be influenced by water temperature. If the water temperature is high the pH value will be low especially when the increase in water temperature is caused by pollution. This study aimed to determine the best water temperature and pH combination for kissing gourami rearing. The research design used a factorial, completely randomized design with two factors. The first factor is the temperature (A), consisting of two levels, the second, pH (B), consists of three levels. Each treatment has three replications. Those treatments are A1B1 (28±0.5°C with pH 4±0.2) A1B2 (28±0.5°C with pH 6±0.2), A1B3 (28 ±0.5°C with pH 8±0.2) A2B1 (30±0.5°C with pH 4±0.2), A2B2 (30±0.5°C with pH 6±0.2), and A2B3 (30±0.5°C with pH 8±0.2). Research parameters include absolute growth (weight and length), feed efficiency, and survival. The data was evaluated using the least significant different test when the variance analysis results show a significant difference. The research results showed that the temperature and pH factors had a significant effect on absolute growth (weight and length), feed efficiency, and survival. However, the interaction between the two had no significant effect. The best treatment at temperature A1 (temperature 28±0.5°C) produces absolute weight growth of 0.47g, absolute length growth of 0.30 cm, feed efficiency of 19.03%, and survival of 75.28%. In contrast, the best treatment at pH factor B2 (pH 6±0.2) produces absolute weight growth of 0.53 g, absolute length growth of 0.32 cm, feed efficiency of 22.52%, and survival rate of 84.54%.
