Abstract

Squeeze cementing is re-cementing which is performed as one step of well treatment, by placing the cement slurry with relatively little volume at the desired position to tackle the problem at the well. One of the problems that can be solved well with the cementing squeeze close the perforation zone. Squeeze cementing methods used in the study is balance plug method. The research was conducted on the wells X and Y by means of collecting the data well, perform data processing which includes calculation cementing design, planning cementing procedures, test results by performing tag cement and compressive strength test. The injectivity test performed that well X has a loss, and it needs to re-design cementing because cementing plan that has been made can not be applied. The results obtained redesign that semen volume must be increased, from 6.258 barrels to 8.38 barrels. While wells Y in normal and cementing design that has been created can be applied to the wells. At the wells Y carried hesitation with 1,000 psi, whereas in wells X hesitation is not applied. After Waiting on cement, has been done, the results of estimating tag cement slurry entering perforation zone at well X is about 1.47 barrels and wells Y as much as 1.77 barrels. While the compressive strength test on cement is done by applying pressure of 600 psi for 10 minutes, the results of the compressive strength test shows no pressure drop, which means the pressure is not leaking cementing results. It can be concluded that squeeze cementing has successfiilly closed wells perforated zone at wells X and Y.
