Abstract

This research aims are to identify the prime information used by farmers on string bean farming and to measure the influence of information media to extending of string bean farming. Data are collected d uring on .Tune - August 2004. This research i s a case study of string bean farming at Kelurahan Srimulya, Palembang. All string been farmers (12 farmers) in this kelurahan were are censused The results of the research indicate that the prime media of information is late mayority (the neighbourhood farmers). The total score of farmers using information ofthe string bean farming is 91,88. With criterion applied, but yet inappropriate. The effect of information media on string been farming is catagorized “applied, but yet inappropriate’" with the average score of 2,32.
