Abstract

This case study aims to analyze the financial feasibility, sensitivity level and to identify the development prospect of Usaha Kemplang Kerupuk Mandiri in Palembang. This research was done at Usaha Kemplang Kerupuk Mandiri on January 2005. The location was chosen in purposive method based on consideration that Usaha Kemplang Kerupuk Mandiri is a good small industries which produce it’s product continuously. The result shows that the financials analysis of Usaha Kerupuk Kemplang is feasible with 18.25% and 6.875% discount factors. The Net B/C for those discount factors are 1.89 and 5.6, Net Present Value are Rp71.468.072,71 and Rp294.166.632,60 and 1RR for both discount factors are 39% and 86%. The sensitivity analysis shows that this industry will still reach the minimum profit when each of the fish prices (gabus and tenggiri) are 14.77% and 36.54% higher than the average price. It also happen when the inputs and operational prices are 25.78% increased from the recent prices. This industry will also still reach the minimum profit when there’s a decreasing output number to 26.90% from the recent amount. The SWOT analysis shows that Usaha Kemplang Kerupuk Mandiri is potensial to be developed in Palembang. Supply of fishes and others raw material for this small industry are good. In other case, this small industry is still need other institution hand to running the management functions in order to make a good developing programs.
