Abstract

Skin health problems are still a health problem in society, this can be caused by environmental sanitation and also Personal hygiene the bad one. The aim of this research was to determine the relationship between environmental sanitation and Personal hygiene with skin health complaints in Ibul Besar II Village, Pemulutan District, Ogan Ilir Regency. This research used quantitative methods with plan cross section. The sample used in this research was 142 people in Ibul Besar II Village, Pemulutan District, taken using a sampling technique deliberate sampling. Data analysis in this study was carried out univariate and bivariate using tests chi-square. This research was conducted using primary data obtained through direct observation and interviews with respondents using a questionnaire. The results of the study showed that the variable that had a significant relationship with skin health complaints was bathing habits, hand and nail hygiene, cleanliness of clothes, cleanliness of bed and sheets, waste disposal recommendations, waste water drainage, while the unrelated variable was waste disposal facilities, provision of clean water. It can be concluded that there is a relationship between the variables of skin cleanliness, cleanliness of hands and nails, cleanliness of clothes, cleanliness of beds and sheets, sewage drains, waste water drains and skin health complaints in the community in Ibul Besar II Village, Pemulutan District. We recommend that the people of Ibul Besar II Village will maintain a clean environmental sanitation and improve personal hygiene.
