Abstract

The purposes of this research are 1) to describt the vegetables plantation Javanese ethnic and Chinese ethnic in Sukarami. Palembang city. 2) to analyze theJavanese ethnic income and the Chinese ethnic income. 3) to analyze the comparison of product risk and revenue risk. The samples consists of tvventy one farmer’s from Javanese ethnic and twenty farmer’s from Chinese ethnic, which was done by multistage purposive sampling. The data sources are primary and secondary data. Primary data are take by doing the intervievv and observation with the sample farmer’s and secondary data are used to support the data taken from literature and some official department which are connected with this research. Based on the result on this research, we find the vegetables income farming to Javanese ethnic is about Rp5.211.292,30 per working widen every planting season, eventhough the Chinese ethnic is about Rp5.466.151,07 per working widen every planting season. To risk, that the highest product risk of Javanese ethnic are sweet com, cucumber, beans, and nourishing bean, eventhough to product risk of Chinese ethnic are cabbage-lettuce, frog, spinach and mustard greens. The highest revenue risk of Javanese ethnic are sweet com, along nourshing bean, beans, and cucumber, eventhough the rcvcnuc risk ofChinesc ethnic are cabbage-lctture.frog. spinach, and mstard grccns. Total revenuc risk got, that the higher risk is got by Chinese cthnic 28,68 percent, eventhough to the total fevenue Javanese ethnic risk is 16.86 percent.
