Abstract
Self-Compacting Concrete (SCC) is a concrete innovation that has the ability to compact itself or does not require compaction. This type of concrete was developed to find out the properties of concrete through the development of admixtures. This research aims to determine the optimum composition of sisal fiber and polypropylene fiber mixture to SCC, as well as to compare the effect of variations in sisal fiber and polypropylene fiber composition on SCC workability and characteristic of SCC, and compressive strength and flexural strength at ages 7 and 28 days. The use of fiber in concrete mixtures is expected to increase ductility, tensile strength, and concrete flexural strength. The implementation methodology used is an experimental methodology which makes and tests according to ASTM, ACI, and EFNARC. Tests carried out in this research include testing of fresh concrete, compressive strength and flexural strength at ages 7 and 28 days, Fresh concrete testing includes testing the slump flow, V-funnel, and Lbox. This research showed that the fiber content in the concrete mixture affected on workability, characteristics, and compressive strength and flexural strength of SCC. SCC without using fiber or 0% fiber content shows the largest slump flow, V-funnel, and L-box values of 76 cm, 6.93 seconds, and 0.975 respectively. SCC with 0.3% polypropylene fiber content showed the optimal compressive strength at ages 28 days is 58.037 MPa, while the maximum flexural strength reached 8.302 MPa through SCC with 0.4% polypropylene fiber content
