Abstract

The objectives of this research are : 1) To know information of kind media which most accepted by farmer to adopting system tapping the pre-eminent rubber of] Clone GT-1 2) To identify the adoption level of farmer to pre-eminent rubber tapping of Clone GT-1 from information media. This research is performed in Belimbing Village, Gunung Megang, Muara Enim. Data are collected in May 2005. The Research Methodology is a survey to the farmers who planting rubber trees of Clone GT - 1 with stratified proportionate random sampling based on using information media. The Collecting data in this research, consists of primary and secondary data. The data are analyzed by quantitative and score calculation to find out the adoption level of farmer in pre-eminent rubber tapping system then explained descriptively. The results show that the information media have been used in adoption tapping system that is PPL as much 20 people or 100%, farmer go forward 4 people or 20%, farmer contact 7 people or 33,3% agriculture magazine as much 14 people or 70%, while media of TV and radio not accepted by farmer in Belimbing Village. The adoption levels of farmer to system items tap obtained a total score 19,35 which is the included in middle criteria its meaning farmer in applying system items tap the rubber less as according to fomentation submitted by information source.
