Abstract
School environmental sanitation plays an important role in influencing the health level of school residents. Poor school sanitation can create environmental-based disease transmission that can harm the health of school residents. This research aims to analyze the environmental sanitation of Prabumulih City State High School (SMA) in 2022. This research uses a descriptive design with a qualitative approach. The informants for this research were selected using a purposive sampling technique consisting of 24 people, namely school principals/deputy principals, janitors and students. The data in this research was obtained through observation, in-depth interviews, and physical measurements of clean water. Data validity in this research uses source triangulation and method triangulation. The results of the research show that some of the school sanitation components studied include the provision of clean water, latrines/toilets, rubbish bins, hand washing places and waste water drainage channels which have not been described according to the applicable provisions, this is the case, there are still several assessment points which do not meet health requirements. school environment. The conclusion of the research is that the environmental sanitation of the Prabumulih City State High School (SMA) does not meet the requirements for school environmental sanitation. Through this research, it is hoped that each school will improve the shortcomings of school sanitation facilities and pay attention to the quality of clean water.
