Abstract

Hospital waste is a form of waste resulting from process activities that occur in the hospital environment, which has the potential to transmit various germs. Hospital solid medical waste contains dangerous and toxic materials (infectious, toxic and radioactive) if not managed properly it can pollute the environment and is considered a link in the chain of disease spread. This research aims to determine the analysis of solid medical waste management at Siti Aisyah Hospital, Lubuklinggau City. This research is a qualitative descriptive research using observation methods, in-depth interviews and document review. The results of the research show that there are deficiencies in the management of solid medical waste, namely that there is still frequent mixing of waste, there are officers who do not use personal protective equipment when transporting waste, the trolleys used to transport waste do not match the trolleys transporting medical waste, the paths used in Transporting waste still uses public routes. It was concluded that the management of solid medical waste at Siti Aisyah Hospital had not been implemented optimally so it was recommended that it be improved in accordance with applicable regulations.
