Abstract
ERDAN MAGHFIROH. The Performance Of Hackers Machine With Automated Rack Swing (Supervised by FARRY APRLIANO HASKARI and HASBI) The objective of this research was to determine the performance of Hackers Machine With Automated Rack Swing. The research was conducted from November 2017 until March 2018 at the Laboratory of Energy and Electrification, Department of Agricultural Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Sriwijaya and at Tanjung Pering Village, Indralaya Utara Sub-distrik, Ogan Ilir. This research consists of four stages, preparation of incubator, preparation of hatching egg, Operation of incubator and incubator testing. The eggs used in this study were Arab chicken eggs. The incubator used is made of hard board with a thickness of 1.2 cm with a heat source eight units of 10 W incandescent bulb, a surface area of incubator 16.820 cm2, a capacity of 100 eggs. Screening of eggs is done every three hours in 24 hours. Observed parameters include temperature, humidity, power requirements, energy efficiency, energy induced incubator, fertility and hatchability. The results showed that the lowest incubator temperature was 37.1 °C and the highest temperature was 38.5 °C. The highest incubator humidity was 73.5% and the lowest humidity was 61.92%. The need for incubator energy for 21 days based on the long operation of the Wh appliance, the energy based on the measurement results using AC Powermeter 9,218 Wh. The heat energy in the incubator is based on the calculation of sebesar 9,130.19 joules and the energy that is inclined through the incubator wall is 4596.74 Joule, Incubator energy efficiency is 79.14%, The hatchability of eggs is 65.7%.
