Abstract
MONA LISA, Pest and Disease Control Techniques Carried Out On ISPO Certified Palm Oil Plantations (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) and Those That Are Not ISPO Certified in Musi Rawas Utara District (Supervised by Dr. Ir. Chandra Irsan, M. S.i).Oil palm is a plant that produces food oil, industrial oil, and biofuels (biodiesel). Palm oil is Indonesia’s mainstay as an export commodity and to meet domestic needs. Decrease in the production and productivity of oil palm can occur by disruption of plant pest organisms. Oil palm plantations in controlling plant disturbing organisms must be based on ISPO principles and criteria. ISPO is a reference for the application of the concept of sustainable oil palm which is developed based on the laws and regulations in Indonesia. This study aims to find out which pests and diseases that attack oil palm palnts and how the techniques of pest and disease control are carried out on oil palm plantations, especially oil palm palntations in the Musi Rawas Utara District. The study was condusted from july to september 2018 in the three centers of oil palm plantations in the Musi Rawas Utara District. The three gardens are: (1) PT. Dendymarker Indah Lestari, (2) PT.
