Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan penalaran ilmiah siswa di SMA Negeri 1 Indralaya Utara. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dan analisis data menggunakan model rasch. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini seluruh siswa kelas XII MIPA yang berjumlah 87 orang dengan menggunakan teknik total sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes penalaran ilmiah yang terdiri dari 18 soal pilihan ganda bertingkat dua pada materi suhu dan kalor dengan menyesuaikan enam pola penalaran ilmiah Lawson Classroom Test Of Scientific Reasoning (LCTSR). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hampir seluruh siswa dengan persentase sebesar 97,5% mampu menguasai hampir seluruh indikator pola penalaran ilmiah. Berdasarkan hasil output item measure, nilai measure tertinggi terdapat pada indikator pola penalaran konservasi sebesar 55,05 logit. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa indikator pola penalaran konservasi merupakan indikator soal yang paling sulit dijawab siswa dibanding dengan indikator pola penalaran lainnya.
