Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kualitas keterampilan proses sains di SMP N 1 Indralaya pada materi Hukum Newton. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dan analisis data menggunakan model rasch dengan sampel sebanyak 36 siswa dari populasi yang berjumlah 240 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini merupakan lembar kerja peserta didik (LKPD) yang mencakup aspek keterampilan proses sains. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan proses sains siswa pada materi Hukum Newton 30,55% kategori tinggi, 63,88% kategori sedang dan 5,55% kategori rendah. Hasil output item measure menunjukkan nilai measure terendah terdapat pada aspek menerapkan konsep yakni 45,75 logit dan nilai measure tertinggi pada aspek menyimpulkan yakni 62,68 logit. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam menjawab pertanyaan pada aspek menyimpulkan dibanding dengan aspek keterampilan proses sains lainnya.
