Abstract

The research objective was to determine of the soil adhesiveness of the surface of the singkal plow coated with Stainless Steel at various ultisol soil moisture content. The experimental method used was a factorial randomized block design (RAKF) with two treatment factors consisting of the type of material (A) and soil moisture content (B). Each type of material consists of two treatment levels, namely steel and stainless steel and soil moisture content which consists of three treatment levels, namely wet soil moisture content (> 30%), moderate soil moisture content (25% - 30%) and water content. dry soil (<20%). The results showed that the amount of sticky soil in the singkal plow was more if the water content of the treated soil had a water content of more than 30%. The type of material and soil water content have a significant effect on soil stickiness. These two factors determine the amount of soil stickiness found on the surface of the plow. The average yield of soil adhesiveness using a stainless steel plow is lower than that of a steel coated plow. The amount of soil that sticks to the steel or brass plowshare has an effect if it is carried out at lower or dry soil moisture levels.
