Abstract
This study aims to describe the relationship between women and nature and reveal women's oppression and resistance in Haniyah dan Ala di Rumah Teteruga by Erni Aladjai. The research method uses content analysis. The study used ecofeminism by Vandana Shiva and Maria Mies. Data collection techniques using documentation. Data analysis using content analysis. The results show that there were 49 women's relationships with nature were classified into 19 forms of women's closeness to nature were classified into 2 forms of cosmic solidarity, 2 forms of responsibility for the integrity of the biosphere, 2 forms of simplicity, 5 forms of care, 2 forms of equality consideration and 2 forms of maintaining harmony with nature; 21 forms of women's knowledge about nature; and 9 forms of women's thoughts about nature. Besides that, those three relationships are connected. The relationship between women and nature causes women to want to protect nature from oppression. As a result, women also experience oppression by certain parties who want to oppress nature. The forms of direct oppression consist of 4 form physical oppression, 2 forms of verbal, 5 forms of psychological, and 3 forms of cultural oppression. Then, the result shows that there are 11 forms of resistance were classified into 7 forms of resistance to oppression in nature, which consist of 3 forms of verbal resistance and 1 form of physical resistance. These women can fight back even though they do not win so that nature will experience oppression. It shows that the problem of suppressing nature or the natural environment is important.
