Abstract

PT .Ansar Terang Ccrushindo is a company of Andesite mining. Monthly target production set by the company is 8000 tons/month. Andesite rock processed by using crushing plant to improve the selling price. On May 2016 the target has not been fulfilled .There are several factors which cause unfullfilled target of production. Productivity of mechanical instrument depends on capacity and cycle time. It will affect to efficiency and effectiveness of instrument. Then will do research on technical study of crushing unit plant in andesite mining to achieve production target amount of 8000 tons / months on may 2016 at PTAnsar Terang Crushindo in district Limapuluh Kota West Sumatra. The study is done by combining between the literature with field observation data. The research data ware taken is primary and secondary which are consist of the feeding rate, amount of products produced, daily working schedule, rainfall, instrument specifications, monthly production target and monthly report of operations . The data processed by calculation and presented in the form of table and diagram with narrative to explain the data. The result showed the efficiency of crushing plant in May 2016 was only 42,22 % so the crushing plant only produce 285 tons/day of product. The effectiveness of crushing plant is 98,46 %. It’s counted as good because the percentage of losses for its operations only 1,54 % .The use of availability crushing plant is 68,20% that made the burden of production become 123,476 tons / hours. This number exceeds the capacity of instrument so for long periods would cause a damaged. We can conclude that effectiveness of working time crushing plant is very low. It’s the reason of unfullfilled monthly production target. To fullfill the production target of we need to be repaired.
